Notice that the pilot is not pulling in the control bar to reach speed. It is likely the pilot has tuned the QuikR wing for speed, my guess is hang in the front hang point, likely using the batten profile that allows for a bit more speed (it has 2 available batten curve profiles), and also flatten the wing tip washout.... and who knows what else !

I do not know about Breen Microlites but for sure you can shot an email to the folks in UK and the would probably know.

Who is "Yft" ... that bought a Quik? perhaps the keyboard got ahead of you on that...

Thanks for visiting my page. My webpage is a bit outdated ..need to get back to it one of these days. The manufacturer has done a great job with theirs so you should visit that as well: http://www.pmaviation.co.uk/

Tony yft is the examiner and cfi at yarawonga austrailia. Peter invited me down there last april and may, provided a trike for me and we flew 1700 miles across austrailia.just a terrific person and pilot 35,000 hour flying. He mostly owns a couple of tanargs but he just bought a new quik. I think hes really liking it and thats a compliment coming from him.

Wow that was quite an adventure. I have never been in Australia but what I see is amazing! .. oh, Yft is gonna love that Quik ... it is not the best trike for all around performance .. but is likely a 10 out of 10 in the fun factor and what I will chose if I had to chose one to fly / land in heavy turbulence.

The biggest thing about austrailia was the people, i mean theres no beter place to bump somone with a shopping cart or get into a fender bender . The dont get mad the just say no worries mate.flying and going over to where mad max was filmed, and incredable wierd animals by the thousands Was cool. I particularly liked flying the southern mountain region reminded me of montana with great smelling ucoliptus trees. The worst part was having to pretend that veggiemite taste really good.I didnt want to hurt there feelings seeing they were being so nice and all!
Hope you get there sometime tony theres alot of trikers there. If peter likes the quik than i know its a great machine.

Probably Gerry Breen your talking about. He is based in Portugal with a training school now although he doesn't teach that much himself. Great guy. I remember him talking about importing eagles back in the early days.

Wexford wow thanks yes gerry breen .he did alot to promote microlights in the uk. Kinda funny story. Anyone who ever worked for larry newman at electra flyer or american aerolights that larry was at best difficult to work for. I got my hang glider buddy a job there working with me.We were very competitive flying hang gliders. So we would draw little hang gliders of each other out doing each other on the eagle boxes going over to breen.Breen got a big kick out of it but larry was pissed.About two weeks later my buddy shipped 10 budwizer eagles to breen microlights in the wrong country. It was the end for my buddy there but he went back to college in pheonix and now plays music with musicians like winston marcellis and james taylor. I still rib him about sending the wrong aircraft to breen. Hey thanks wexford id like to say hi to breen great guy.

Thanks wexford sent gerry an e mail. Very cool hes still doin it all. Wow and hes a pnm dealer.
Gerry flew the first powered hang glider in england 1978 and held the microlight distance record 550 miles big achievment back then. I remember the incredable spirit of flying back then just makes me so happy to see them still kickin. You remember those days toni c

    No worries Whitey!
Gerry is the guy that whipped me into shape about 11 or 12 years ago! it was like boot camp. He showed me things at the time I didnt think possible in a weightshift that later I realised come from the hangliding days.
