Flying the High Country of New Mexico

eg: stopmotion, new-york, street
This was a South West Sport Pilot Association, EAA Chapter 1521 Event, July, 2015. Six weight shift trikers met in Angel Fire to fly the valley for 5 days. The airport is located near the Angel Fire ski area and extends North through Eagles Nest lake and on up to near Red River, NM. The valley is about 20 miles long and 5 miles wide. This July, every morning is perfect for flying but the massive thunderstorms move in in the evenings. Luckily for us, the FBO and locals love us when we visit and provide free hanger space for our stay. In this video, I flew the trike and Norm Hunter (student pilot) flew back seat. The trike is an Apollo Delta Jet 912S, 100 HP. The field elevation is 8300 MSL. I hope you enjoy the scenery. We sure did. Frank Dempsey, , Weight shift Instructor and DPE.

Very nice Frank!! Pink Floyd--PERFECT! Man, I'd love to come down and fly this event with you (beautiful country), but it's my busy time of year instructing! Maybe you'll have to come up to Pikes Peak country so we can fly "HIGH" together sometime!!!

Beautiful country, Frank. I've been missing this event last couple years. Is that a Aeros single surface wing you fly in your video ? I thought you have TL.

I used to have the Still 16.2 Aeros wing for traveling. Since I purchased an AC Fun Racer 103 for traveling, I decided to sell the Still.
