Upcoming science fiction movie. From wikipedia---- Plot: Three high
school friends gain the superhuman abilities of telekinesis,
flight, and invulnerability after making an incredible discovery in
a mysterious crater. Their bonds are tested as one of them strays
to his darker side.[3] Trailer can be found at Yahoo Movies along
with their viral marketing efforts in New York City using "flying
people".
At 44 seconds they show a 72 MHZ radio with the antenna down. if
you fly RC that is funny on a couple of levels.
BTW my Dad just got me the new RC Icon A5 from Park Zone. It is a
freaking jet ski on the water! Should be great in real life if they
ever come out with it.
Hey David, it flies! A good 60-70 MPh in a slight dive. Has a
wicked snap roll to the right, inverted flat spins and of course
all the basics like loops and rolls. On the down side it doesn't
hold a knife edge well and tumbles when I try to do a hammer head.
But hey it's an Icon A5.
I Guess it always boils down to using a plane for it's designed
purpose.
I bet you get a lot of additional experience and knowledge out of
flying RCs, especially aerobatic. When I was a kid, I built many RC
models, but never had the money to put an engine or radio in. In
college I built a nice RC sailplane and learned quite a lot flying
it, but it did not have ailerons so no real aerobatics. Back then,
I learned to soar from a book and trial and error (no mentor /
instructor) and then from watching crows show me how to work the
puzzle of one ridge into a set of houses and up a tree line to
higher than I even thought possible. I remembered some of what I
learned later when I was in the glider myself-- it sure helped.
Anyway, cool on you Larry, you are really lucky to fly for fun and
business.

Larry does your model fly also, or just water only?
