360 degree camera intro flight

eg: stopmotion, new-york, street
360 degree camera intro flight raw footage. It was cloudy with moderate winds aloft and we did a Fly Together with two trikes in the air at the same time. Flew from Carson City up Spooner Pass to Glenbrook Bay then back to Carson Valley to fly low up the Carson River. You have to look around to see the other trike.

Aim the view towards the hang point and watch the wing shift back at 1:16 to put the variable trim cables in tension. It really shows how the trim system works.

I liked the 5 ft over the grass part. You picked up a couple bugs on the lens.

What type of VR 360 camera did you get?

I believe this is a Samsung 360. I myself have been doing some research on 360 cameras, one thing that I hope they will improve is the stitching, If you look downwards you can very easily tell where the image is stitched. Not sure if there is a fix for it with a Firmware update.

Yes Jeff it is a Samsung gear 360. Great value overall. Yes those bugs on the lens are a pain but the low pass over the field is always one of the highlights. Yes being able to look at different aspects parts of the aircraft, such as the trim, is amazing.

I finally looked at this video in more detail and the most awesome theme/story for me is the huge smile on the face of a student. Nothing like a TRIKE SMILE. Her reaction after the flight is priceless which is typical after a trike flight. Their "awesome experience" is one of the many things I love most about this job.
