I found that out on my own too. When you try to correct the wing all the time the carriage will be rockin all over the place. Just let it be unless it needs a big correction. Flying in it isn't so bad once you do that. But landing in it can be a ...

"Robert Sumner" commented on Paul Hamilton's Blog "Trike engine reliability. Are they all equal?".
It wasn't that long ago Paul that you posted how rotax two strokes are plenty reliable. Can't quote it exactly, but I do remember you saying you never had any engine outs or related probs with your Cosmos 503. I believe you were flying a 582 at ...

I dont' trailer mine around anymore, but it was a total pain putting the wing on the roof for sure. 10 ft tounge on that trailer has to put it WAY back there in your mirror. heh.

Martin.. My trike is a plans built Air Trikes eagle 103. But with the 503 its too heavy so its numbered. It has a north wing contour 14.5 wing on it. It is my first build, second trike.. I put black max dual rear brakes on it as well. Glad you ...

3.08, 3.39 and 4.55, that about sums up the beauty of open air slow flying! And of course 1.37 sums up the beauty of no fairing, look at that stretch! (one of the many reasons I too love no fairing) You could almost use this video as a Demo Reel for ...

That tells you that your main jet is probably okay, but in cruise you are mainly on the beginning of the needle circuit. Lower the clip to get a little more gas goin in to cool it off. Next time of course.. After you rebuild it..

1200 degrees in cruise? Sounds too lean for sure. Move the clip on the needle down or get a richer needle. What is it at full throttle with the load of climbing?

Why not just pull the exhaust and look in the hole. If the rings are frozen or you see major scratches on the piston you'll know.

Robert Sumner Anyone using an ifly700 gps with success? I have one and have yet to be able to use it. It's the model without the internal battery so it's hooked into a 12v cig lighter for power. Problem I'm having is that it creates massive amounts of static on my icom A14. The radio system is totally self contained for power and it's not the typical buzz you'd here like on a car radio changing with engine rpm. Checked all my grounds and all is good. It is white noise with crackling in it and it's only when the engine is running. It does this on two different trikes. Seeing as I know zero about electronics, I'm hoping someone here has had a similar problem and can point me in the right direction. Adventure pilot says they've never heard of such a thing. Thanks for any info..

Doug Boyle Robert, Try changing locations of the iFly; it may be too close to your radio or antenna.

Robert Sumner I'll give it a try. The Tech guy said it shouldn't be a problem unless the gps is above the radio. But I'll give it a shot. Makes sense that it may be too close.

Doug Boyle I'm chasing strobe noise in the Icom setup on a customer's trike and presently considering all the options.

Doug Boyle Here's the name of an inactive trike pilot that has an ifly700-series, but more importantly, he is an electrical wizard: Steve Appleton in Lexington, NC

Robert Sumner Yeah in my reading I did see that strobes are a cause of some noise. Mine doesn't have any effect on my radio though. I'll try to separate the two before I search down Steve. Thanks Doug.

Robert Sumner The iflygps forum had someone with the exact same problem and the solution was a ferrite choke on the power cord. I'll post again if it works.

Doug Boyle It sounds like that's it! The ICOM converter has one on the Line side. Good luck.
