Maybe we need to start thinking about rating trike wings? USHGA has done it for a long time, now USHPA is also continuing their rating program and expand to Para gliders. Food for thought https://www.ushpa.org/page/ratings-and-skills-introduction

mine was a Wizard III, it did become a kite without a tail when in a fairly hard dive. Others I have flown do to. Not at all to disagree, is common here everyone disagree with things. But I'm my opinion not all wings are created equal or behave ...

so when it come to techniques - I think an important consideration, perhaps even more than struts or no struts, is the behavior of the overall aircraft as they do change quite a bit.

that Wizard indeed. I have flown others than had that behavior but not as bad, also side slip in turns and adverse yaw when initiating turns. I put lots of emphasis in the "flying" perhaps because I came to trikes after any years Hang Gliding and ...

On all the P&M models, which is what I have the most experience with, I can pretty much tell with precision and lost of experimenting what are the best techniques for every wing. And they may not all be the same. Going to some of the older ...

One thing to keep in mind is that the best technique for every circumstance in landing may vary some with different trikes / wings. I did a lot of experimentation on landing techniques for different fields and situations using many different trikes ...

Joe, a better comparison will be GT450 (King Post) vs GTR (Strutted) .. the speed range is about the same, the size is identical at 13 SQM. Speed range 33mph for the Gt450 (king post) and 35mph for the GTR (Strutted). Note: King Post GT450 can be ...

Riz, although the king post and wires may indeed add more drag, the max speed of the wing and speed range is not just because of struts or cable braced ... many other design, size and tuning factors come into play for both. The cable brace QUIK wing ...
