Just brought it back to Greensboro, NC from Rodeo, NM. Able to get
some training in with Neil Bungard at the Sky Gypsies Complex. I
know I am going to enjoy it.
Bob..where are you located and how long have you been flying
trikes? I am just getting started. Todd
I am in southern France, about 150 miles from the Aircreation
factory.
I bought my first trike in 1995 or so. Never owned one as nice as
the Tanarg though. As yours is a black top engine, is that 80 or
100 hp?
Have a look at http://aircreationtanarg.blogspot.com/ and let me
know what you think.
Great to get to know you Bob. I bought my Tanarg used...it is a
2006 model with 90 hours on the 80 hp Rotax 912. I like your Blog
and in particular your wing trolly that you fabricated. I am just
getting oriented to my Flycom Focus and the instructions/manual do
not have enough info for me. I have a friend who I think will be
able to help. I have a Becker Tranceiver and Becker Transponder. If
you have any info on the Flycom I would welcome you to email me
with tips or insight.
Not much info about on the Flycom Todd. I would love to be able to
change the units from mph to kph, but cannot get the info from
anywhere. I suspect that the small jumper switches on the back
might do something, but don't know.
I have fitted my Microair M760 radio today so I can fly into class
D airspace now. The fitting took some playing with the Flycom, but
got there in the end.
I don't use the wing trolley anymore as the whole hangar is now
mine.
Mike, You only bought that colour after I took you up in mine!
No I did not Bob. I emailed Jean Luc Tilloy at AC in France as I
was given his name from the previous owner of my Tanarg. I did not
get a reply and have not followed up. I am actually looking at the
Enigma by MGL as a possible future upgrade.
Thanks for that Tom. JL Tilloy has no info on the Focus at all, I
talk to him quite a bit (just had an email from him). I have sorted
some of the stuff to interface a radio into it and will find more
info when I get the time.
I also spoke to the German manufacturers, but they have now gone
bust.
I am also looking at the Enigma, but will order the new BioniX wing
first. I am meant to be flying the BioniX this weekend, but the
weather looks bad. JL has just offered to bring it to my airfield
at a later date.
JL will be able to help you with the Enigma as it is now a factory
option. If you call him on the number at the bottom of the AC
website, you will find that he speaks very good English and is a
helpful chap.
Henry, how'd you know it was SLSA? If you have an SLSA, can you
re-register as ELSA later? I know you can't go from ELSA to SLSA. I
like my ELSA, because I can do more of the work / change things
around some without paperwork hassle (such as the airscoop and fuel
water separator I put on)
