Tony - very sorry for the loss of your mom. The gift of flight is a wonderful thing. I know you will treasure all the wonderful memories as you celebrate her life.

Thanks for the great feedback Ted. I am biting the $$ bullet and ordering the Stratus option so I can get the enhanced GPS reception along with weather and traffic. Sounds like there are several good solutions working for folks using iPads. I am ...

Riz - I agree that Lucian's book is one of the best, if not the best resources for understanding trike flying. I use the WSC Handbook with my students as well and do agree the diagrams are the best but recommend that they begin with Lucian's book. ...

Ted - enjoy your new ride. My DJ2 is the fastest trike I have ever flown. Fast but very stable. I am able to slow mine down to around 62-63 or so for pattern work but I sure appreciated how fast it was on my recent XC to FL. Have fun and be safe.

That is a very nice integration job Todd. I've been looking at the Sandia 165 for awhile now. What do you think of it? I've got some pretty congested airspace near my home and I could really use it for safety. It's pricy and I would use it stand ...

    Hey Todd,
I saw you joined the Tanarg Triker's group today! Awesome!
Thanks for the help with the Enigma panel- it is a lot of work to switch- better to get it stock I'd say. It's about 90% wired in now (so many harnesses to make, engine, radio, comm, transponder, etc). I'll have info and pictures to share with anyone who wants to know how I did it- also I collected a lot of the technical details and drawings in one location now.
Anyway, I hope to be in the air again soon- it's possible it could be just before sunset tonight if things go smoothly today. Have some great flights yourself.

Congrats Todd! I bet it was awesome for you. We'll have to all get together for some flying soon. There is 3 of us around MB, SC. I had emailed Jonny T about getting my check ride this fall. Still had not set a date for that. It would of been a good weekend for flying here in Myrtle Beach but I had to do the yard sale thing & I strained my back putting in a new hot water heater. Shouldn't of carried it myself. Congrats again!!

Hi Todd, You can't get any better instruction than from Terri--top notch gentleman! Yes, the Clipper is sold and new owner, James Mauch, is located in Louisville. He'll be receiving his new bird next week if the weather cooperates. He has 25 hours of training, so I should be able to get him up and going rather quickly.

Keep in mind asking Terri to come to Greensboro for some of your latter training. The cost can be split between others requiring his services. I've also got Jonny Thompson coming to our area soon, and he is a loooong time pilot/instructor from Currituck. Fly high, Doug

Pleasure was ours Doug. I will be in Lynchburg next weekend and plan to catch a flight with Terri Sipantzi and check out his operation. My guess is that I will begin my sport pilot license training so any thoughts you might have on best place to do that would be appreciated. Kevin speaks highly of Terri. Did you sell your Clipper we saw last weekend? Todd
