"John Smith" commented on monty stone's Blog " BAR-ROOM!".
Yes, it's necessary to know the actual speed at which this unit is trimming to identify if it's flying too slow (like you're pushed way out) or if it's really just a bar position issue. If it is in fact trimming at the correct speed you can get the ...

John Smith commented on Jozinko Sajan's Video.
I suspect the apparent movement of the trike is because the camera is mounted to the wing. If the camera were mounted on the trike, it would appear the wing was moving about. Seems to me that in turbulence they BOTH move relative to one another.

Get a SPOT or Delorme Inreach or something like it. Your family will be able to see if your spot is moving which means you haven't crashed. Under the "something like it" category - free smart phone tracking apps that project your real-time image ...

"John Smith" commented on Paul Hamilton's Blog "Trike engine reliability. Are they all equal?".
“there are thousands of single engine airplanes flying over hundreds of cities EVERY DAY in a similar situation. Why is a trike different?” A trike is different because we DON'T HAVE TO fly over cities. Virtually all our flying is ...

Not to change the subject, but can anyone help me with the technique to do that? I touch the rears down smooth enough, but constantly bounce my front wheel.

"John Smith" commented on monty stone's Blog " SEE AND AVOID".
If in a high traffic areas, I try to "hide" in the aerial "shadows" of mountains, down below the tops. Not feasible in strong wind, of course, but I never fly in strong wind.

Looks badass. Does the Ifly 740 have internal battery or hook up to external power?

Thanks, that took courage to post. From this, manufacturers and pilots could learn to remove any and all sharp points and edges from the pilot area.

Dang, that makes it more maneuverable than a wheeled trike - it can spin around in its own length!

"John Smith" commented on Rizwan Bukhari's Blog "Trike flying is so much fun".
I have to agree Rizzy. Flying trikes is so simple that when I hear of trike crashes I wonder how they happened. Then I watch YouTube videos of crazy approaches into marginal fields, or flying over unlandable terrain, and I realize how disrespectful ...

John Smith Trikes are "the latest threat to border security" in Arizona according to this article. Good excuse for a drunken hillbilly to shoot you down: http://www.boulderweekly.com/legacy/world/mexican-marijuana-smugglers-turn-to-ultralight-aircraft/

Joe Hockman This is not a new news article (June 2010). Would not surprise me if these sorts of border incursions still happen on a some what regular basis. Article mentions Gabby Gifords who was tragically shot by a lunatic some years ago. Due to many miracles Gabby is continuing to recover each day.
