Frank Dempsey What happened Chuck. I saw the hole in the hanger next to yours. Full throttle runaway. Glad you weren't injured.

Tom Currier Congrats. Gotta love amphibs. Water landings are the best; Always straight into the wind, you can see turblence as wind waves on the water, landings are softer, infinitely more landing options with an amphib, and finally it's just plain old "cool"

Frank Dempsey Looks scary Chuck. It would help if we had water here in New Mexico. I like your trike though. Let's go to Baja.

Chuck Tabbert Got a chance to take trike float training last week with Jeff Bell and look at CYGNETs at Anytime Aircraft with Mike Percy. If you ever get a chance to fly a float trike - do it! On base leg of one landing, Jeff leans over and points out a eight footer in the water. Note to self - don't crash! LOL Big shout out to Jeff and Mike for their hospitality and insights into trikes on floats. The CYGNET and Explorer (103) are awesome aircraft.

Would one way be to have manufacturer identify the differences between the ELSA and the SLSA, have the manufacturer make the modifications and then certify the plane as SLSA? Sounds like a lot of work even if it is possible.

Paul, Great - I too have been collecting this info. Right now i'm up over 4500 trike pilots worldwide. Too big to import into your program. I'll be happy to provide folks info if they email me at chuck_tabbert@yahoo.com

Bob, The winds will die down soon as you know. I find flying at sunrise and sunset the most enjoyable and you've got a great set up there - come out your front door, preflight and taxi - it doesn't get any better that that. The last night I was ...

Great encouragement for Bob! His place has a lot to offer! We, close to Bob, will be coordinating and visiting often. Make sure you bring everything you need - there's not much south of Deming, and, although Bob is a gracious host, we don't want ...

Folks - I'm retiring now and am going to be flying a lot and traveling a lot.
Contact me at chuck_tabbert@yahoo.com or (505) 400-4785. I have owned the Aeros with a 582 and a 17m wing, the early REVO (LOVE IT) with the 100HP Rotax and a 13M wing and now have traded the REVO in and will own two REV's! One to fly, one to sell!

We have a great group at Double Eagle Airport (KAEG) with A LOT of trikers! We have 3 CFI's and one examiner on station so come fly with us!

I've also started the North American Pilot Emergency Contact list (NAPEC), designed to provide a list of folks in North America that you can call if you're in the area or, heaven forbid, you go down.
