He's a great story teller Monty, just like yourself. Perhaps the two of you could collaborate and produce a book of triking adventures, good enough to challenge the dominance of Tales of the Wild Blue Yonder, written by the esteemed J Q Olsen ...

Abid: don't get me wrong , I'm not trying to stop the discussion, it's a free world. My point is , I don't understand why people don't get the reasons why products are priced differently and, nobody is being forced to buy anything other than what ...

I'm not sure why we are having this discussion. Every business person I know goes into business to make money. As much money as they can. The market will decide a) if the business is even viable and b) how lucrative it is. Some business set up to ...

Bryan, I think you are spot on. I also think, if you look closely at the circumstances surrounding a high percentage of these accidents, you will find they involve a pilot with a little experience on a docile wing, who has recently transitioned to a ...

B Alvarius, Re Australian training. This has been my experience: in my initial training the only thing we did re spirals was, come into the airport high, do a spiral descent, to show how it was a useful tool to lose some altitude quickly. The only ...

My own personal view is, the reason we seem to be seeing more of these accidents is, for many years we were happy with the larger slower wings and the training syllabus was adequate for these. Now we want smaller faster wings, so guys that have been ...

The same could be said of any aerobatic pilot, but I think why people get so concerned is because we never see aerobatics performed in a trike. Larry is out there to sell his trikes and one of the ways to do that, is to demonstrate the strength of ...

Hi John, unless there is a restriction stopping the control bar coming in that far, I think two ties back onto that seat frame would be much more secure than one on the compression strut

About

I am a dairy farmer in eastern Victoria Australia
I have a Pegasus Quantum 15 with a grey top 582 Rotax and Q2 wing, it has 365hrs on it of which I have done about 30 and lovin it.
I fly out of my farm at Bruthen and I'm hoping you people will start paying enough for your dairy products so that I can afford to move up to a four stroke soon ;-)

    Bill,
I can do that but I may need some help once I drive onto my custom trailer. The problem is the angle of the trailer remains angled with the angle of the ramp. Now once I drive up onto the trailer, and cut the engine, the trike tends to roll backward and in the process, the cantilevered front landing gear can catch the edge of the wheel aligner on the trailer. This can cause the front landing gear to lift up forward as the trike moves backward. The fuselage would quickly drop hitting the bottom against the metal trailer. NOT GOOD. I may come to that once I figure out how to stop myself from rolling backward. Easiest way is for a second pair of hands. My brakes are not too effective since the mechanism in the wheels kept rusting and freezing up. I externalized the brake system by having the same system pull 2 rods against the tires on their surface. Result a brake system not powerful enough. I keep the trike on the trailer at all times since it makes I can move it wherever I want at anytime by linking it up to my truck. I will probably work on perfecting a system allowing me to drive up the ramp this summer. Any suggestions are welcome..

    Hi Tom,
Wombats are not quite a meter long and half a meter high and built like a giant house brick. Here is a pic http://www.thomasschwenke.de/wp-content/uploads/wombat_front.jpg
