Henry Telluride is THE most awesome place. Also pricey and hard to get to. They have a fabulous airfield at 9,200MSL. They are not fond of illegal book sales. I've been flying there since 1985.

About

Even though I am a weight-shift CFI I'm one of those guys who sees the new FAA Sport Pilot license as totally unnecessary, we already had licenses for those who wanted them, now we've got a license and a bunch of useless rules for those who don't. We already had a complex license that allowed for flight in controlled airspace. What we needed was a simple license that kept us out of controlled airspace. The FAA Sport Pilots rules are just the latest example of bureaucracy for the sake of a few bureaucrats, who can now ride a gravy train into a retirement pension funded by the likes of you and I of course, without having to actually contribute anything useful to society. Way to go guys!
I have written three novels- the first novels to feature trikes and hang gliders that I know of, but I am just getting started. If I live long enough I intend to write a novel that takes aim at our Federal bureaucracy, in an attempt to illustrate how the Feds destroyed an industry and took the ancient dream of flight away from the average American. I see the FAA crap as just another example of how our rights are being chipped away in favor of government. If you have any stories or examples of how the Feds fucked it all up please forward them to me. Stay tuned! www.TalesFromTheWildBlueYonder.com

Hey Ole ... how about having the books published in Spanish as well... all that South American / Central American / Mexican market ...muchos pesos ... then the quotes in "spanglish" will have to be translated backwards ;-)

Just visited your blog ... too funny !!! great stories... wish we would have hooked up back in my hang-gliding days around the south american landscape! Never flown Mexico ... wish to do that one day ... vist Vico at Valle de Bravo ... and others

    Great work

No, stick with the Chevron for cooking- that synthetic stuff is hard on the arteries from what I hear.

So who's on trial today? Probably you no doubt.
So cold there too huh? Good thermals then, probably. Flyin your Falcon, or the blade wing?

I don't know anything about them fancy oils. Can you cook with that Amzoil stuff? Chevron makes great french fries.

Yes Joe is here, holding court today. Not much pool activity due to frigid weather. In LA!

    Hi Ole,

I'd been using the Penzoil aircooled, but I'm buying a trike that has had Amsoil Dominator, which is a synthetic blend, so I was thinking of sticking with that. Everybody you talk to likes something different. I just know you've been doing this for a while, so I thought you might have some insight.

Are you still at Sylmar? I've flown there a few times. Nice site. I was hanging around with Joe Greblo for a while, and would go over to his pool across the street from the LZ to cool down. Have you seen him around?

    thanks,
    Vince

    Ole,
I tried sending you a message, but it crashed so I'll try this way.
I see versions of your book on Amazon, "Living Dangerously" and "Recipes for Disaster". Are the stories different, or just different cover art? Are you cranking out a serial?
I read through all your stories that you used to post on your webpage until a year ago. But they are gone now, so I guess I'll shell out some cash to read them.
