Ignorance or power trip? The poor paramotor pilot gets hassled by a Sheriff. The pilot handled it very well. Nice video, this could happen to any of us, especially the 103 pilots

Damien, thanks for posting this. This is a phenomenal video. Without a doubt, one of the best videos about Trike Flying.

That's a gem of a video, alright. In regard to AOA and maneuvering near the ground and/or banking, I make it a strict practice never to allow the bar very far forward if I am near the ground, unless I am landing. Generally, in fact, I have the ...

That’s correct Wayne. One of two things will outcome when the airspeed cannot support the bank angle (assuming S+L entry) 1) Aircraft will lose altitude (spiral) 2) pilot will keep pushing bar out until it stalls. Otherwise the pilot can reduce ...

Lindsay, we recommend as you say to trim slow (10-12” from the front strut ) for landing. I also use this position for cranking and banking usually. Pulling back on the bar to maneuver and only pushing out to coordinate the turns is my preference. ...

So that brings us to an excellent example when we talk about banking too steeply at too low of an airspeed. From straight and level flight either pilot will stall the Aircraft if they bank to steeply at too slow of an air speed or they ...

I would think 10% above stall would be dangerous in a turn and particularly difficult to do anyway in some wings as bar pressure would be considerable. If a wing has a straight and level stall of 40mph then your talking 44mph and don't forget stall ...

Thomas ,you have the variable of trim position adjustment . I personally have a preference to trim about 10% percent above stall when maneuvering ..this gives good bar feedback though i have not flown a revo, all trikes big and small seem to give ...

Pedro, this is such an amazing landing, feels like landing of a jet airplane, very controlled, I have watched this video a few times. You did a great job. :-)

As a new WSC pilot (40 hours solo on a Revo) I cannot yet tell by bar pressure and position, part because of varying speed trim settings and part inexperience. I really look forward to the day when bar feedback is all I need - until then I'll guard ...

Very true the bank angle is only applicable, as Tom points out, if the Aircraft is being held at altitude by pulling the Gs while in that bank angle. The beauty of the Trike is it is bar POSITION that will tell you where stall is regardless of ...
