I used the Gerbing liner jacket and socks for years. The pants weren't necessary and found the Gerbing gloves too unwieldy. Instead I had a bomber system of bar mitts that I modified not to wrap around the bar (under your hands) and had a very thin ...

Glade-It's true...Hood River can kick your ass. I've landed there a number of times and one time was as you described. There's that unusual geography of The Gorge, winds usually rushing from West to East and the hills/cliffs (Non-Westerners would ...

Well, this is an uncomfortable position...taking a lone stand against safety. Perhaps I should just say I don't really know the proper course of action and I don't filter my fuel. I've only been flying since 2008 and others have much more experience ...

iFly not only has their stand alone GPS's but they also have it available as an iPad App and an Android App. No need to buy a new device if you are already using a tablet.

The ones I use look exactly the same as Leo's and they fold easily in half. They say they're 5 gallon but easily hold 5.5 gallons. http://www.airframesalaska.com/LargeBag-p/5.2bag.htm

Craig this is a common problem and based on your post here I am thinking about adding a MoGas to the sport pilot/LSA locator. http://lsapilot.sportaviationcenter.com/sport-pilot-locator/ I think one GPS manufacturer is a good start but not a final ...
