It is with great sadness to report that William Stockfield AKA Mr. Bill passed away suddenly today in his home with family present.

Mr. Bill was a close dear friend and fellow Aviator trike pilot that lived to see his 80th Birthday last month. In fact we threw him a Surprise party at the hangar just a few weeks ago. And Mr. Bill hung out at the hangar with about a dozen close friends/trike pilots just yesterday.

Always smiling, with many physical conditions stacked against him his whole life, Bill pursued Trike flying at the age of 75 and became an accomplished pilot very quickly with the use of all hand controls on his trike. Anyone who has ever met Bill knows what an inspiration he is.

We are so honored to have been a small part of his long life.

    God Bless Mr. Bill!

Sad news. Glad I got to see him just a few weeks ago for his 80th birthday party.
Glad he got to experience flying on his own last 5 to 6 years despite the odds.
    RIP Bill.

A life well- lived and a fine example of overcoming obstacles, and endeavoring to carve out the spice of life. May we all follow your example Mr Bill and embrace each day to its fullest. Rest well and soar above as we strive to follow your lead.

Amy and Larry, I am sorry to hear of his passing away. And I am sorry for your loss but the only way I can look this is that he was adventures and followed his dream of flying trikes and made it happen. And he lead a life worth celebrating :)

It was an honor to have met Mr. Bill, if only briefly. His perpetual happiness and smile were infectious from the moment I met him. He overcame with gusto some challenges that many others would shy away from. If you would like to hear his voice again, an interview with Bill was recorded at Sun 'n Fun 2016, posted as episode 402C of Uncontrolled Airspace: the General Aviation Podcast.
