Sorry, I was attempting to get this message off my status box. I believe the bad landing video was a jet jockey transitioning to trikes at Chelan.

ray berger Hi: Any new ideas on getting a unregisterd trike an N number at this late date. I know it could be sold in Canada or Mexico, maybe flown as a demonstrator at Airshows? What if it was bought in from another country? Also, where do we currently get parts

Ed Cooper To add to Jeff's comments, if you buy the experimental exhibition aircraft, then change the aircrafts home base, the new FSDO will revise the operating limitations as they see fit. You don't necessairly get to keep the operating limitations that the aircraft has in the previous fsdo area.

Jeff Gilbert I'm struggling with a similar issue. I'm looking at buying a trike that was imported from another country. Apparently the way its done is to give it an "Experimental - Exhibition" status. As you say, this technically means it can only be flown in the vicinity of its home field or to airshows/fly ins etc that are listed in a "Program Letter" that you have to send to the FAA.
