Could a more hybrid delta wing (some rigidity & added-control surfaces) be in the future for trikes?

Prandtl-D Aircraft by NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center, in Edwards, CA, could this be the future for some of our trikes?

    Here is the complete article if you want to read more about this great looking aircraft design. One interesting fact about this design is that, like our flex-wings, the wing is not only delta shape, but also has a specific twist in the airfoil. The similarities are amazing.
