Motion X Flight Tracking on the iPhone is soooo cool

I have been experimenting with using the iPhone for various applications on the trike. One of the coolest so far is Motion X GPS. It allows you to track your flight and then upload, share, and view the track in google maps and replay the flight in google earth. Very cool. Here is last night's flight from kspg to kzph in google maps:  http://maps.google.com/?t=p&z=15&ll=27.764650344848633,-82.63325500488281&q=http://api.motionxlive.com/motionx-remote/api/gps/host/beedf10b-affc-45d6-965d-6e4bc3d8bff8

From there you can click on the link to google earth.

Here is the link to Motion  X

I am still learning how to use it with google earth, but it seems very promising.

Anyone else use google earth to track/replay flights?

Sean.

Sean, Was nice meeting you briefly last weekend while I was in ZPH. Wow, that is a really really neat application. I noticed that at some point you got a Max Speed of 89.9mph! There is a load of info in that app. Thanks for the info, I will remember that for future reference.

Yes, using iPhone with GPS Tracker app and InstaMapper.com, it keeps log of all trips, works really well, will check the software you mentioned also..

    cheers

InstaMapper.com also tracks live, so family and friends can check your trip progress via google map.
