This group is for Trikers flying out of Zephyrhills Airport and all interested in what goes on at our hanger. The purpose of this group is for pilots to communicate to other pilots about flying activities. This is the place where you let other pilots know you are going to fly and get others involved to come fly along. We intend to organize fly-outs and fly-ins from Zhills and surounding areas. Have fun and tell us about your flying experiences.

by Abid Farooqui 1 year agoHey Jason.
by Jan Ferreira 2 years agoThis morning (Saturday 4/30/11) 5 aircraft (3 Trikes an Ibis and a Paradise) paid a visit to The Flying W near Bushnell in Florida. We got off to a late start because Larry slept in and wanted to do more tweaking on his wing before we left. We departed at 9:30 AM. There was a 20 MPH head wind and made for an interesting landing on a grass runway between a rows of trees. After we had breakfast and Larry doing more tweaking on the wing we flew back. Lots of thermals on takeoff but a smooth flight once we reached 3300 ft. All in all a great flight. Round trip 60 miles.

by Abid Farooqui 3 years agoRyan McAnarney is coming to get his WSC-SP-CFI done on March 27th. So Ryan you should call Paul Hamilton and get the syllabus and books now bud or you will have to buy them from us when you are here. Syllabus for training you should get now so you can look it over before getting here. You will be asked to give some ground instruction presented in the syllabus.

by Abid Farooqui 3 years agoGuys,
Any of you interested in starting a trike club at Z-Hills. There is an opportunity to buy a S-LSA Apollo Jet Star 582 with a BRS and an Enigma for much less than I can make it for. If we start a club, we can pitch in money for club membership, pay $50 an hour to rent the aircraft to any club member and club manager position should rotate from me, Wes, Doug etc. every 3 months. This will allow people to join and fly solo. This is more important to those of us who are CFI's or thinking of becoming CFIs (me, Larry, Dave Miller, Doug Wheaton, Wes). This will increase training business for us. As you know the main impediment to allowing someone to solo in a trainer is liability and lack of insurance to protect us for solo operations in the US. In a club, the member (student) can take a 3 month membership at $650 and then pay $50/hour to fly solo and the liability is less on any individual. What do you think?
