Marc Habermann Thanks Leo, that`s the info I was referring to on Aeros.com, but no one seems to have own experience...There is one flying in Germany (Antares MA-35 carriage).

Leo Iezzi Welcome. I think the wing is still too new and there isn't a whole lot of feed back from pilots yet.

Frank Dempsey There are actually two new Aeros wings out in the last year. Onne is the Sting ray 12 of coarse and the other is the Still TL 17M. I have a customer from Tucson that will take delivery on the Still TL next week. Aeros has been working on these two wings for some time now. At this point, they're geting them certified which take time. Both of these wings have been through many, many hours of flight testing. I have order froms and performance specifications for both of these new Aeros wings.

Mikael Markow Frank, some questions about Sting Ray. What do you think of the different sail cloth options? For the leading edge there are three options MT170, PX10T and PE10. Which one is best suited to the leadinge edge? With MT170 we can choose colour but does the others work better? And what is the difference between PE10 optic and clear? For the upper surface one can choose PE10 but also two other materials, wich one is best? Are the winglet same as on Profi TL?

Frank Dempsey Not sure about the MT170. I'll find out. The PX10T is a hard leading edge fabric, like a trilaminate. It's white with black fiber stripes in it. There is a better version of this called a PX10T UVP (better in the sun). There are several versions of the PE10 but basically it is a top sail fabric. I like the NVC grill cloth for the top sail. If you go to my website there is a fresh new picture on my Profi TL with the NVC topsial. http://www.newmexicotrikes.com . If you can text me, I'll text you back some photos of these patterns. Mikael Markow Hi Frank, I have a Profi TL with NVC on the top and MT170 on the leading edge. As I understood it MT170 is a softer and cheaper material good enough for bottom of the sail. PX10 is a reinforced, a stronger and harder, material that don´t stretch so much over time and PE10 is improved version of PX. So the real question is what is needed for the leading edge, does the more expensive material give any real advantages? MT170 has the advantage of many colors available and low price. Same for the top surface is, does PE really have any noticeable advantage over PX.

Frank Dempsey Hi Mike. The hard leading edge prevent rips and tears in the case that you accidentally bang it on the hanger. Iy you live in a shared hanger, the occupants can smack it. If you use the cheap Dacron, it will ripp so you'll be patching it up. I like the NVC grill cloth for the topsail however the PE OPtic looks cool. If you have to repair the top sail with either of these fabrics, it could be difficult as compared to Dacrom. I hedge that I won't do damage on the top sail, rather damage would occur more likely at the leading edge or underside dacron.

white eagle Kriss a few things i might mention. I also have a soaring trike that has a zenoah g-25 engine. Things you want to look out for. Having a soaring trike that is underpowered is a real drag and somewhat risky. Not sure of your pilot weight or conditions you fly. But here in the mountains of montana having a bit of xstra power is a good thing. Also concider vibration. I dont know much about the black devil engine so iam not sugesting its a bad choice. I can tell you that the power to weight ratio is really good with the polini . Also its counter balanced on the stroke and water cooled. That will greatly add to your comfort amd the life of your engine. So i can say that it may be worth spending the xtra bucks ! You wont go wrong with that ant trike. Acually iam planning on getting a new soaring trike. I just want to wish you the best of flying soaring trikes are soo much fun?

I think it will be hard to boost business...
Or maybe Aeros just wanted to show what is possible today, but has no commercial interest to sell these kind of specialties (like the former Profi TL 11). Would be interested in any kind of information.

I am aiming at ANT with Fox13 TL in December or perhaps in the winter time of 2017/2018. I am at 195 lbs, and thought that more power would help. I have found out that AEROS is testing a new engine with its ANT ( Corsair Black Bull ). Its a 35 HP power plant. Does anyone know anything about this unertaking by AEROS ??? I think i would preffer air cooled, than Polini the Thor 250. THNX

I just received a Trike maintenance manual from Aeros so if you have an Aeros trike, this applies to you. They asked that I pass this along to Areos Trike owners. In particular, pay attention to replacing engine mounting bolts and bushings every 300 hours. I can get them for you. Contact me off line.. http://aeros.com.ua/manuals/Aeros-2_and_CCT.pdf

Alexander Voronin, Maxim Drobyshev and Elena Ostakhova are planning to show the Aeros Nano Trike (ANT) in Oshkosh next week. You can see them and the ANT at the Aeros stand in the UL area. The ANT's with 36 hp Polini and 26 hp Corsair engines with Fox 13 TL, Combat T and Discus T wings will be displayed and flown. These are Nano Light Soaring trikes with folding landing gear. Everything breaks down into two bags that can be carried in a compact car. If you are going and you are interested in Nano's and soaring, you should check it out. I went to SNF and flew the ANT/Polini/Discus. It was a lot of fun. http://www.newmexicotrikes.com/ant/ant.html

Larry, on this subject, I guess your development drifts main landing gear torque solve this issue.
It is really very good idea to fight this movement from these ends, the lever moment is very good .

Anyone that know about the velcro connecting the upper
and lower surfaces in Profi TL?

How critical are they, how much does a misalignment affect the flying properties of the wing?

Scott...What is a "Big air Pop-up"? Sounds scary...

I'm a new TL owner as well and can back Frank up on all his comments. I came from an older NW MPulse1 19M and it was a huge jump in performance. I took a risk and purchased my TL without the wing tips based on a friends recommendations. I fly a stick trike AC GTE with 582 so it really wasn't needed anyway. For me that really has made roll force quite nice; no issues at all. I have to say the handling is really impressive. The VERY light pitch is the most tricky part for me to get use to. I was all initially over handling the heck out of it but I've adjusted now and it's very nice. The biggest thing I have benefitted from in my flying style is using the large energy retention to do big air pop ups after running up the airspeed down low. My daughter loves it! Zooms up like a rocket ship. Great wing and built very well. This weekend I'm transferring the TL to my Tanarg with a 912 80hp and I'll be posting a review of the handling differences I observe. So far the fit test to the Tanarg went very well.
