Just put the new nose battens retrofit kit on my Bionix 15m wing and completed a 250-mile round trip and everything is staying put. I'm still tuning the wing and slowly exploring the speed range. I re-pitched the prop to 5500 rpm static whereas I previously had it propped at 5200 rpm static. I'm getting 75-80 mph at 5000rpm now, at about 4-5 gph.

No what I am saying is that it takes a given amount of engine power to overcome the amount of drag at a given speed. That engine power is low compared to what is needed for climb out. As the Bionix changes shape it is able to fly faster by reducing its lift and so reducing its drag.
If I set my hand throttle at 3800rpm, I can fly at slow setting at less than 50 mph, but if I wind the handle to fast setting without moving the throttle it will go to around 80 mph as the drag reduces. At 3800 rpm I would not think that my 912S is giving much more than 60hp. in the fast setting I can then increase throttle a bit to go faster.
You have to think of the Bionix as a number of different wings, in the slow mode it is a high lift slow wing, rather like an old 18 meter wing, but when you change it to fast mode it changes shape to imitate a smaller faster wing.

Are you saying that it won't take any more rpm's to maintain level flight in the Bionix -- at a faster speed?

If you put a Bionix wing on the numbers and consumption should be about the same as a 100hp Tanarg. It is the wing that determines the speed and the engine power that determines the climb rate.
The Bionix will give you a greater top speed and a slower bottom speed than an Ixess, it will also save you fuel.

If I put a Bionix wing on my 80hp Tanarg what will my numbers look like? What about fuel consumption at the new speeds?

Hi Jake - I too have the HP wheels on mine. Whilst I've never needed to buy any tyres ("tires" to the Americans!), I remember at the AC factory they told me the tyres they used were from wheelbarrows. Therefore it may be worth taking a look around your local garden centre.

Does anyone have a source in the US for tires for the fat tires for a Tanarg? The size is 16x6.50-8, and the tires that are on my trike say they have a 6-ply rating. I can find a fairly large variety of this size of tire in a 4-ply rating, but that's obviously not the same. Not sure if it makes a difference or not.

I can also order from the factory, but it seems a little silly to ship $100 worth of tires from France...

Air Creation has issued the service bulletin related to the fuel tank pre-filter.
Please make sure your Tanatg has one, if not contact Air Creation.

Henry, The HP tyres are bigger and wider than the normal ones, it is a factory option.

Hi Jake, I uploaded the copy of the front wheel assembly drawing from AC part list.
What do you mean HP wheel/tires ? I'm using tires with the size 16x6.50-8 with the original wheels and doesn't have any problem.
