I recently had an early generation FLYdat display fail on me. I acquired a brand new updated version. The newer one has an additional power input for the oil pressure. Is this power input for a different p-oil sending unit that might need it? I obviously did not need this with the older generation FLYdat. I’m thinking I can just hook up the old connections and the p-oil sending unit should be OK. Or do I need to change a few things? The Trike is an Air Creation Clipper 912. Thanks for any help you can give me on this.

Got a problem with carbs on 912 I can't seem to get past: My starboard carb overflows fuel at idle. I replaced the Viton tip float needle and checked for debris, but it still does it sometimes. When I go to synch the carbs and remove the compensator tube, the port carb overflows and it runs like crap.

When I begin from scratch and set the idle stops to 1 1/2 turns past the .012 gap, it idles fine with no overflow (comp tube still hooked up). Any ideas?

I have the same problem at 300 hours for my SLSA. I have decided to just buy a new block and bolt on the gearbox/mags since I have heard bad things about rebuilds altough less expensive.

I have a 582 on an slsa trike. I know that at 300 hours it must be replaced or rebuilt. Are there any thoughts on which is the best way to go? Thanks.

    Hi Ray,
Here is the after-market billet 912 fuel pump

Call Lockwood Aviation and talk to Tisha. The last reply from her in December 2009 was:

Yes, we had one we were testing on the Aircam and it started leaking, so we’ve got another one from them and are putting time on it to see how it goes.
We’ll let you know, as we are trying to find a solution as well.
    Merry Christmas!
