I have been wondering what happened to the location map that used
to be on this site? Didn't there used to be a map that we could
click on to show all of our locations? Even the little yahoo map on
our profile page only shows a close up of a street. It's useless,
as it doesn't show even the name of the town or state that you are
looking at as it's too close of a view. I thought you could click
on that map as a link to that location on a larger map. I would
like to know where we all are located for future trip plans. It
would also be great to link our pictures to a location on that map,
so we could see where they were taken and live a little
vicariously. Though that might need to be another map. Just a
thought.... Peace, Doug Smith.

Doug,
There is such a map http://trikepilot.beasportpilot.com/sport-pilot-locator/
which is for all trike instructors, flight parks, pilots,
etc.
at www.beatrikepilot.com .
Creating a useful map application with all the bells and whistles
is a big task which has been completed.
There is now a direct link on this web site to www.beatrikepilot.com .
So there is another map made specificly for this purpose as you
wish that is in cooperation with Spencer and this web site.
It is filled out pretty good for instructors and pilot should put
themselves on the map.
There it is.

Hi Paul, Yes Beasportpilot.com is great. I would say it's for
finding instructors mostly. The link on this page doesn't take us
to that map, it takes us to the front page and it reads basically
"find and instructor". Don't get me wrong, I feel that one of the
biggest troubles we have for the future of our sport, is for a
new-bee to find contacts for instruction, so... Good job! But as
far as using that map, it's helpful but... each of us can use a
different "username" then on this site (TrikePilotSocial), so that
makes the search engine incompatible. This site (TrikePilotSocial)
has a very large group of trikers that like to chat and share
experiences. There is a yahoo map shown on our profile that (to me)
seems pointless. I look here for the tales and pics of trike flying
and it would be great if we could link to a map to show the area
the writer or pic is from. I'm very aware, that building and
maintaining this type of site must be a huge task. And I am
certainly not capable of dong it. Hats off to Spence and all those
that are doing it for us! I'm just talking here... Peace, Doug
