Are there any trikes out there with a Jabiru 2200?
They claim it weighs the same as a R-582 but is
4-stroke and has 85 hp.
Same question about the AeroVee Kit engine.
Also 80 hp and 161 lbs.
Thanks.

Hi Gerhard,
When they have tried Jab motors on trikes they have never been able to keep them cool.

+ the jab only turns 3300 rpm, not sure if that would make any differance or not...what about the verner 133MK its air/oil cooled, 84HP, VERY light, turns 5500rpm, and burns AV gas...I thinking about buying one myself....

But the website does not seem to do anything. Rotax 100 hp is also 70 to 80 kgs, so why have 68 hp that weighs more?

Weight is a huge factor. Money I think someone could build 100Hp VW for $5ooo.oo but its going to weigh 150lbs. The extra weight would work for a lot of flyers especialy if they used a two seater as a single place. How much is Rotax 100hp engine?

Thank you for the post both of these look like Great AIRCRAFT engines. Do you know the cost and are there any dealers in the US? I think we're at a disadvantage because trikes are not as popular here. Also the FAA upheaval, liablities, ect. beginning to sound like someone else on this board. Maybe I'll move to Itatly build my trike and bring it back.
